• Motion sensors detect the presence of a forklift or other vehicle in the traffic lane
• Pedestrian gates are closed and boom arms are raised until a pedestrian presses the button on top of the gate control box, at which time flashing lights and the audible alarm are triggered. The pedestrian gates open and the vehicle boom arms lower if no vehicle traffic is detected in the traffic lane. If traffic is detected, the pedestrian gates remain closed and boom arms raised until traffic is no longer detected in the lane
• Pedestrian gates close after a programmed time delay unless sensors detect pedestrians remaining in the crosswalk
• Pedestrian gates will refuse to open anytime a vehicle is detected in the traffic lane, even if pedestrian has pressed gate button to activate gate opening
• The pedestrian gates may be manually opened or closed using moderate pressure in the event of a power outage
